We have had a great end to the 2019 Event season with some new and old faces.

An old and very welcome face was in the shape of HOMERUS aka Jaffa, a horse I had for 3 years and the owner sadly sold a year ago, he had been having fun with his new owner/rider Susy who has been competing at BE100. As Susy is now off to Sandhurst, I am delighted to welcome Jaffa back to the yard and will be eventing him alongside Susy in the 2020 season. We only managed to fit in one event this season, with both Dauntsey and Broadway cancelled, but he had a great run in the BE100 at Calmsden. A super test to score 30 and a double clear, sadly we had to comepte HC as Jaffa has points which stopped him picking up a placing

He has also been out BS at West Wilts, winning the Discovery and 2nd in the Newcombers.

A new face at the yard, THE SECRET JEWEL aka Jewel, owned by Ali Spence, is jsut here for a couple of months, whilst her daughter, Lulu has started at Uni. Jewel had a great first run with me at Calmsden, with a 34 dressage and a lovely double clear to finish 3rd. Sadly her next run at Broadway was cancelled, so she will enjoy doing some BS before she heads up to scotland after Christmas.

And another new and exciitng face is UPPERCOURT COOLEY aka Bueno who I am syndicating (please contact me if your interested in owning a share in this gorgeous boy) He had a great start to our partnership winning the Newcombers and 1.15m at our first BS show together.

Eventing wise, we started at Dauntsey in the ON, where a dressage of 28 and a double clear in the time leftbus in 2nd place. We then headed up to Oasby in search of good ground. Another super test to score 27 in the OI, followed by a lovely double clear, adding some time faults to finish in 3rd. We were so lucky to have headed further north as everything around us was cancelled.

And the last event of 2019 was Bicton International where we were competing in the CCI3*S. Sadly with such bad whether the ground was really suffering, and being 99th to go was very challenging conditions, but Bueno tried his littel heart out for a 27 to lie 8th out of 100. We started over night and SJ on a surfance the following day with a foot perfect double clear. We then made the decision to withdraw from XC and save him for another day which was disappointing but as a new combination it wasnt worth the risk.

So now plenty of winter dressage and Show jumping and roll on 2020!!!
