A great couple of months eventing and Show jumping over the Summer.

The Future Partnerships HEADLEYS COSMIC TWIST jumped her way around a tough Novice course feeling more confident with each run!

Then a busy two days at Upton.
Day one was with the ‘big boys’
Lucy Fleming, Suzanne Doggetts and Sam Wilson’s WII LIMBO was having his first run for a few months, a rather exciting dressage test and a lovely double clear.
Suzanne Doggetts HALLTOWN HARLEY has his first run since Badminton. A super 28 and a double clear to finish 5th.
Molly Fisher and Lucy Flemings COOLEY LEGALAND was having his first run since Renswoude, with a correct dressage for 31 and a super double clear!

Then back the following day with the younger ones.
Molly and Lucy’s FUTURE MILESTONE just came to dressage and SJ and felt great.
The Future Partnerships HEADLEYS COSMIC TWIST jump clear around another tough Novice and increasing her knowledge at this level.
Natalie Royals BILLY CLARENZA jumped a lovely double clear to finish 8th!!

All around a great few days. Huge thanks to all the team both at home and at the competitions!

Great day at Summerhouse, new boy DRUMNACONNELL DOWNTON aka Peter jumped at our first show together. DC for 3rd in the Discovery and 2nd in the 1.05m. COOLEY LEGALAND won the Newcombers. And HALLTOWN HARLEY was beaten by half a second into 2nd place in the Foxhunter but went one better to WIN the 1.30m by 4 seconds!! Love them all!! Thank you to Lyds and Jack for super grooming all day!!

Wow that was a long day at Aston. 19 1/2 hours door to door but the boys were super.
Molly and Lucy’s CAPTAIN FUTURE started off with a steady run around the OI.
Then we waited for COOLEY LEGALAND “Eddie” and WII LIMBO “Woody” in the advanced!!
A rather cheeky test from Eddie with some leaps up bucks that were requested, followed by a great SJ round, 2 fences down but a big and influential track, then he popped around the XC easily, feeling happy and confident around his first ever advanced.
Woody was a star, only his 3rd run this year and he loved every minute. A super consistent test to score 29.1, then a great clear in the SJ which got him a round of applause as he jumped out of his skin and then a smooth easy XC clear adding 6 time faults for 3rd place. A little disappointing that only 4 seconds held him off the win but delighted with this final run before he ????heads to his 5th Burghley!!!

A great day at West Wilts BS, The Future Partnerships HEADLEYS COSMIC TWIST wins the Discovery and then Molly and Lucy’s CAPTAIN FUTURE wins the Newcombers and Foxhunter!! Nice little trip with these too! Huge thanks to Mimi for keeping things running smoothly!!

So proud of the babies at their first BS party. Oxo and Rocky both jumping lovely clears!!
Then Natalie Royals BILLY CLARENZA “Lilly” wins the Discovery with DRUMNACONNELL DOWNTON “Peter” finishing 2nd by 0.4 behind his stable mate, but goes one better to win the 1.05m!!

An up and down weekend at Wellington.
On Saturday;
The Future Partnerships HEADLEYS COSMIC TWIST produced a better test at Novice level in the BE105, an annoying 2 fences down as she was fresh but flew around the XC for 10th place
Natalie Royals BILLY CLARENZA was doing her first Novice Test also in the BE105, a few wobbles and wasn’t keen on the rein back but otherwise produced a nice test, 2 down SJ as she was a bit spooky in the most lit up arena she’s jumped in and then sadly XC she wasn’t feeling it so I pulled up. We have now decided to concentrate a bit more on the SJ with her and see how far she can go up the Show Jumping ladder!
On Monday;
Molly and Lucy’s CAPTAIN FUTURE did a lovely test to score 28, a bit too fresh and had a rare 2 fences down in the SJ as he thought he should be going XC but then flew XC just a couple of seconds over the time!
Also Molly and Lucy’s COOLEY LEGALAND was in the advanced 8/9yo, a super improved test to score 32 with so much more to come when he gains more confidence in his ability, then he flew around the SJ just touching the last fence which was frustrating but we were delighted with him. We then made the tough decision to withdraw him XC as the ground was becoming firm after 3 days of a heat wave to save him for another day.
And last but not least Lucy, Suzanne, Sam and Russell’s WII LIMBO was on super form in the Advanced, a lovely and rather energetic test to score 31 and lie in 3rd, and other than forgetting to jump fence 1 as he was too busy snorting and looking around at the scenery he then jumped a beautiful round! He also didn’t run XC as his next stop is Burghley in 8 days!!
A huge thank you to everyone on the ground, Mimi, Toby, mum along with Molly, Lucy, Ben and Marina and my sister, Charlie, keeping things on the road at home!
